Yampatika's Emerald Mountain Snowshoe program focuses on the history of Steamboat Springs and Howelsen Hill, but also covers interesting tracks and animals, plus some of the diverse ecosystems of Emerald Mountain. Participants ride a two-person chair lift (if the chair lift is not working and alternative route will be selected) up Emerald Mountain to allow easier access to the top of the hill. The group snowshoes up a couple smaller hills then explores the mountain snowshoeing all the way back to the base of the hill. Snowshoe rental and lift ticket included.
