Yampatika's Moonlight Rabbit Ears Advanced Snowshoe program is a moderately strenuous tour. Participants must be comfortable and confident snowshoeing at night while keeping themselves warm and dry. A headlamp with charged batteries is mandatory for this adventure. The route will vary depending on snow conditions, group size, and the weather. If the driving conditions are not safe to drive up the pass, then the group will move the destination closer to town.

- Location: Rabbit Ears Pass
- Where do you meet: US Forest Service Office (925 Weiss Drive)
- What time and how long is the tour: The group meets at 4 pm and will return by 7 pm.
- Note: Participants are encouraged to carpool to get to the trail head (be prepared to drive and/or welcome others to drive up with you)!
- Cost: $30 and includes snowshoes if you need them (indicate this as you check out)
- What to wear:
- Waterproof winter boots and wool socks
- Waterproof pants or gators over your pants
- Dress in layers and avoid cotton!
- Remember to wear a warm hat and gloves
- What to bring in your daypack:
- Headlamp (contact the office if you need to borrow one for the program)
- Water bottles (2 liters at least) and snacks.
- Extra layers (fleece or down jacket, and a waterproof/windproof jacket, thick mittens)
- Hand/toe warmers (optional for people who get really cold hands/feet)
