Summary

Explore the season's changing colors with a Yampatika Naturalist. This hike will take place on Rabbit Ears pass (or where the colors are changing.) This hike meets at the USFS building and a Yampatika van transports participants to the hiking location. The program runs from 8:45 am - 1:00 pm (approx.) The cost of the program is $25. RSVP is required and space is limited.

Description

Explore the changing season with a Yampatika Naturalist. This hike will feature a fun, educational hike. The cost of the program is $25 and space is limited so RSVP early.

Important details:

  • Meeting Time: 8:45 am 
  • Meeting Location: US Forest Service Office (925 Weiss Drive)
  • Transportation: A Yampatika Van will transport the group
  • What to wear: Dress for the weather (current and future) and dress in layers! You'll most likely want long pants/sleeves to protect yourself from the sun, dirt, and things that might make you itchy (mosquitos, etc.). Avoid cotton when you’re able and go with a synthetic material or wool.
  • Also remember to wear sturdy hiking shoes, good socks, a cool sun hat, and sunscreen!
  • What to bring in your day pack: 2 Water bottles (2 liters or more), snacks, lunch, sunscreen, extra layers (long sleeve shirt, fleece) and also bring your waterproof jacket!
